Express Advisory Service (EASE)

When trying to assess the predictions for the mid-season deluge of 180+ weekend matches, the dilemma you will have each week will be exactly the same as everybody else's: which of our predictions are the most reliable ones for your current week's betting?

The simple truth here is that our most reliable predictions in terms of percentage are those we show under the Weekend “Short OddsGolden Guide Selections, but you will never make your fortune there. In fact, the best you are ever likely to do (and then only if you are exceedingly lucky), is end up with 5% more in your pocket at the end of the season. You could try the “Double Chance” Odds instead, because those “favourites” often go wrong and produce Draws. But the Odds in some cases are just too ridiculous to consider laying out against and, in any case, you may not do much better overall than by backing Outright Wins.

We ourselves recommend laying out across a range of different Bet Types in order to spread the risk. We sometimes use the “Double Chance” with the Golden Guide Selection'sMedium Odds” Weekend Selections (because the Odds are better), plus we occasionally lay out accumulators on the “Medium Odds” Draws.

In selecting the “Medium Odds” Win matches to place our money on, we identify those 6 “special” matches where the Reliabilities evidenced for the 2 teams combined could well return us 2 or 3 Correct Scores, and where the Under/Over betting could also make a good return on the accumulators.

We also try to earn enough from the very low-risk betting areas (Short Odds betting on outright winners) to give us enough extra money to play with on our 6 “special” matches. If these 6 “special” matches do well, as two or three times a season they tend to, then we more than double our money. The reality, though, is that the real money is made with the Correct Scores betting on those 6 matches, and so what we look for in the selection process is where both teams in a match can be expected (but, of course, they can never be “relied upon”) to score near enough the exact number of goals we are expecting.

Coming up with star quality betting decisions on a regular basis is no mean feat. It always takes a lot of hard work. This is true (even where you try to save time by using comprehensive ready-prepared data from an online service such as ours) simply because the sheer volume of information you must take into consideration when working out the best betting options for yourself is almost overwhelming.

So we have tried to take as much of the hard work out of it as possible for our Clients, simply by adding an additional element to our Services. It takes the form of downloadable spreadsheet files which we have named the "EASE" Downloadables ("EASE" being short for “Express Advisory Service”, because the information on those spreadsheets saves our Clients the trouble of having to research and collate all the prediction backup data for themselves).

There are in fact 4 separate spreadsheets that we produce weekly, and these give our Clients full details regarding:

  1. those 6 “special” matches we ourselves intend betting on for Saturday and Sunday (our “EASE 6” spreadsheet);
  2. our predictions for the English Premier Division weekend matches (the “EASE for English Premier Division”;
  3. a BLANK spreadsheet enabling our Clients to select and analyse the data for any 6 matches of their choice in much the same way as we do for the “EASE 6” (the “BLANK EASE 6” spreadsheet), plus
  4. a BLANK spreadsheet that can be used to analyse and compare the “bettability” of all the matches in any one Division (the “BLANK Divisional” spreadsheet.

The two versions of the “BLANK” EASE spreadsheets are intended for two distinctly separate purposes, and they are dealt with under the sub-menu entitled "Using the "Blank" EASE Spreadsheets", so the remainder of this section deals with the first two “fully completed” EASE spreadsheets only. However, all 4 “EASE” spreadsheets now incorporate a Worksheet entitled “BaseData” that contains all the relevant backup data for each and every match, including full Odds details. This means that you could modify the “fully completed” EASE spreadsheets if you were so inclined, but it would be far easier for you to use the “BLANK” EASE spreadsheets instead!

Each "fully completed" EASE spreadsheet pulls together most of the vital information you can find on the PIC screen, and identifies any ODDBALLS we observe (and they nearly always occur, even though we have tried to select the 6 most "conforming" non-oddball matches we could possibly find).

The "EASE 6" spreadsheet in particular has been arranged so that those who do not have time to look into the backup information too deeply can easily locate and understand what it is that we are going for, and how a match prediction differs (if that is the case) from the predictions we have posted on the Website. But it also contains much more detail than that for anyone who wishes to "turn over all the stones"! We hope therefore that it will prove as useful for the veteran Bettor as it does for the novice.

So what does all this mean to you? Well, now the "EASE" is up-and-running full-time and extended to the weekend matches for the English Premier Division, so every Friday night (or Saturday morning, as we explained before) you can simply navigate to the "EASE Downloadables" section of our Website and download whichever “fully completed” EASE files you are interested in.

Details are given on the first worksheet within the “EASE 6” spreadsheet as to the 6 matches we favour, together with our reasoning and arguments for the choices.

The weekly "EASE 6" predictions come complete with all the backup data and our arguments attached, making it ‘quick-n-easy’ for you to check out our conclusions for yourself and decide whether or not you want to lay out money on the picks we have chosen to bet on. Even if you don’t necessarily agree with our particular findings, you yourself will have very quickly analysed the details of 6 good quality “value” bets (not “Short Odds” bets, if we can avoid it), and thus worked out for yourself what YOU consider would be the more likely match outcomes. Compare the ease of taking that route to selecting your bets with the alternative of researching for yourself from scratch the details of 180+ weekend matches!

The downloadable "EASE 6" spreadsheet already contains the outcome of our betting if all results were to come good, because we have placed a “Y” in all the “Results” boxes. If you wish to change the Odds or Stakes for the matches we have selected to suit your own requirements (higher or lower staking levels) and/or your own findings (for example, you may find better Odds than those we quote by using one of the Odds Comparison Websites such as BetExplorer - www.betexplorer.com/soccer/), then you will find it is very easy to do so.

As you change the Odds or Stakes to suit your actual betting, the figures all automatically adjust to show the new maximum potential winnings. All you have to do is replace those artificial ‘dreamt-for’ results with the details of the actual results. You can do this incrementally where the matches are played at different times or on different days, so at any given time before the next match is played you can still see what to expect if all the outstanding matches come good for you. Believe us when we tell you this can be more exhilarating at times than a wild roller-coaster ride!

We don’t expect our "EASE" selections to do well every week, particularly early on in the season, but when it has come together later on in past seasons we have had some spectacular weeks that more than compensated for the bad patches. And having the spreadsheet expectations by our side to keep our hopes high has made for some extremely exciting weekend match-watching on those ‘very near miss’ occasions, even where we have not made a profit!
